“The smoke that Thunders” (Mosi-oa Tunya) is the local name given to the terrific Victoria Falls- an unrivaled landscape of Africa. Victoria Falls lies almost halfway between the 2700 km. journey of Zambezi River from its genesis to Sea.
The falls was first open to the foreign eyes in 1855, when Dr. David Livingstone a Scottish Physician and Missionary came to inspect the African Colony. Today this 108 feet high and 1700 m wide Cascade is a major tourist attraction (also a source of income) and one of the Seven Wonders of the World!

Go hiking in the Chobe National Park of Botswana, but not before crossing over from to Zambian border experiencing, a spine chilling and thrilling dip in the Devil’s Pool located at the edge of the roaring Falls. Listen to the thundering 100 ft deep Victoria falls from the legendary train bridge. Also listen to the Local Legends of Major God Nyami-Nyami and his wrath unleashed in the 50’s Lake Kariba floods. Arrive in Victoria Falls airport (18kms. Away from Victoria Falls town), Zimbabwe and settle in your booked lodgings.
Take a well-deserved rest after a long journey.

Start your vacation by making a trip to Kariba Lake a famous weekend spot in Zimbabwe.
Once here you can enjoy fishing and Elephant back rides as well as bird watching. However, while boating in the lake keep a look out for Hippos and the Nile Crocodiles.
Relish the lovely Sunset over the Lake. Spend the Night in Kariba Town.

Most people are in a dilemma over which side to Choose to view the Massive curtains of water. No doubt both the sides have their unique features, however, we will begin our tour from the Zimbabwe side. On this side, the flow of the Falls is tremendous compared to the Zambian side.
Enter the Victoria Rainforest (which is nurtured by the moisture from the spray of the Cascades). Flow the concrete path through the moist and green forests leading to the breathtaking Victoria Falls. After the trek, return back to town for the night.

The old Cape to Cairo Line Bridge was the vision of Cecil John Rhodes, the mining magnate and former Prime Minister of Cape Colony. It was his wish to construct a railway bridge close to the Victoria Falls so that spray could be felt by the Passengers on Train. Today, no passenger trains pass through this anymore. However, it is open to visitors.
First, go through the visitor centre to learn about the history of this Beautiful Bridge. Then view the gorgeous Zambezi Gorge and if you dare then go Bungee Jumping here. The Bridge is a no man’s land hence it does not fall in either Zambia or Zimbabwe.

The border crossing between Zimbabwe and Zambia from the Victoria town is easy due to the regular shuttle and Taxi service. However, paperwork and Fee payment depends on Nationality. So after Crossing the Border take the day free and settle down in your hotel. In the Evening spend the night in surrounding towns of Zambezi National Park.

Next day set for the great adventure.
The Tongabezi groups provide exclusive day trips to the Livingstone Island and Devil’s Pool (5 times a day). Go on the Morning breezer cruise to the small rocky Island named after the renowned missionary. Swim from the Livingstone Islands to the deadly Devil’s pool perched on just the edge of the 108 feet deep falls. Watch the beautiful solar rainbows forming over the Falls. The adrenaline rush and the glorious view of the landscape will definitely leave you out of Breath.
After proper rest and visiting local Markets, leave around 16:00 hrs. to view the amazing nightscape along the Zambezi River. As you near the Falls, if the Sky is Clear then you will see the rare Lunar Rainbow forming over the Cascades.

Next day, rise early morning to visit the Chobe National Park and Cruise on the Chobe River in Botswana. The Shuttle to Botswana Leaves around 7-7:30 A.M. Border crossing is relatively easy and You will enjoy the exotic kaleidoscope of flora and fauna.

Reach Okavango via Air Transport. A swampy inland delta formed by Okavango River, this U.N.E.S.C.O. site was once a part of now dried Makigadikgadi Lake. Bordering the Moremi game reserve this is an ideal region for some African game hunting.

Post breakfast; go on a Delta Sawmp Cruiser to watch indigenous as well as migratory birds, Swamp flora and Fauna. Enjoy your picnic lunch in the swamps watching Nile crocodile and Elephants waddling in the murky waters.

Early morning, arrive at the Makgadikgadi Pans via Flight. Situated in the midst of Dry Savannah; the Makgadikgadi Salt pans are ideal for safari. It is the Breeding Ground for many wildebeest and hosts the largest population of zebra; it attracts the predators who hunt them. Numerous migratory also come for the wet season. Thus, plenty of opportunities for you to see the African wildlife. End the Day Camping in the Park grounds.
