Arnarstapi and Hellnar are two quaint fishing villages on the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Once upon a time Arnarstapi used to be an important town, however today there are not many families living in Arnarstapi, but in the summertime, the place is swarming with both birds and people. Today, after breakfast drive to Landeyjahöfn for 35-40 min. This is the place from where you will catch your ferry to the scenic westman islands. Once here, you will get a chance of meet and greet with puffin penguins at one of the largest Penguin colonies of Atlantic Ocean.
The trace back your steps to Landeyjahofn, to reach Vik- a village in south Iceland. Situated on the shadows of Mydalsjokull Glacier, Vik hosts some the most charming landscapes, a platter of the authentic “sheep’s head” meat preparation in this hamlet is recommended.
